Recently, one of our children was injured while riding their bicycle down 280th. I think this pictures shows how impossible it is for cars and kids to see each other. Please caution your children to use good safety skills. This might be a good hill to walk down.
We Needed Help!
Fence in our playground has been damaged. A volunteer is needed to evaluate, make a materials list, and possibly make repairs. We will supply all materials. Please call or e-mail the Board at dhhoa@earthlink.net.
Egg-citing News!
Our annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held, Saturday, April 19th in the community park. The Big Bunny will come for a visit and salt the park with loads of goodies. At 12:00 noon sharp the hunt for candy filled eggs will begin. Supplies are liberal and every child should go home happy. We appreciate the hard work of Bonni Bury (and company). She's been our Hunt Master for years. It's an event you won't want to miss.
Giving to Your Community
Like Bonni, volunteers make good things happen for their neighbors. If you would like to get involved, consider serving on the DHA Board. While the President and Vice President serve a term of office, yearly we open three positions for volunteers who are interested. The Board Executive is a homeowner willing to oversee CC&R concerns. The Secretary is responsible for meeting notes and the newsletter. The Treasurer should have some CPA skills in order to keep records and conduct the financial affairs for the association. If you are interested, please contact the board. Thank you for caring.
How Are We Doing With Dues?
Over half of the homeowners have paid their dues. This is great news for all of us. Our dues are used to finance; grounds maintenance and utilities for our common areas, perimeter fence repair and replacement, Insurance and legal fees, development of our play area and special projects such as our up coming annual Easter Egg Hunt. Even in a rocky economy, we need to protect home values by maintaining and improving our common areas. You just have to look around to see how the competition is doing, with so many new developments under construction. We're encouraged by those homeowners who have let us know about financial difficulties. We were happy to work with them in their efforts to pay their dues. Important dates to remember:
- April 15th - $25.00 late fee for dues posted after this date.
- April 30th - Final statement and Letter of Intent to Lien on delinquent properties.
- May 30th - Liens will be established on delinquent properties
Diamond Hill's Web Page!
VIANET Web Design has given us a wonderful new tool to keep neighbors in touch and provide important information. I think you'll be impressed with it's quality and usability. The features include; copies of past and current Newsletters, Block Watch notices, a Home Improvement section with lawn care and LP siding information, a list of Events, such as our upcoming DHA Garage Sale, important Contact information, and a Message Board.
The Message Board gives you an opportunity to advertise an item for sale or leave a message relevant to the DHA. In order to use the Message function your will need to register with a user name and valid e-mail address. The system will e-mail your temporary password, which you can personalize on your first log-in. Please continue to use our block watch e-mail address dhhoablockwatch@earthlink.net for reports on all criminal activities in our area. These will appear in the Block Watch folder on the Web Page. Communicate with the Board through e-mail dhhoa@earthlink.net or you are always welcome to leave messages by telephone or through the mail.
We really appreciate all the work our neighbor, Irene Mendoza, donated to create a home for us on the internet. The possibilities for use are incredible. If you are in need of Web Services you can reach VIANET Web Design on line at http://www.vianetwebdesign.com or by e-mail at irene@vianetwebdesign.com.
